THIS RELEASE FROM TUUUN IS A SEQUENCE OF RESYNTHESIZED TINNITUS SOUNDS.
IT WAS MADE FROM THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF TWENTY VOLUNTEERS WHO DESCRIBED THEIR TINNITUS IN DETAIL. THE RESULTS OF THIS RECREATION ARE PRESENTED AS A SEQUENCE OF TONES, EACH A BRIEF WINDOW INTO THE INTERNAL SOUND WORLD OF ANOTHER PERSON. THIS PIECE IS AN INTENSE EXPLORATION OF PHYSICALITY, AS IT DESCRIBES SOUNDS THAT ARE PRODUCED AS A RESULT OF AUDITORY TRAUMA, MAY BE UNCOMFORTABLE TO LISTEN TO, OR BE BEYOND OUR OWN PERSONAL ABILITY TO HEAR OR EXPERIENCE. BY TURNING UP THE VOLUME ON THESE SONIC ARTEFACTS, THEY MAY BE RE-EVALUATED AS WORTHY SOUNDS IN THEIR OWN RIGHT.

To me, this album sounds like a dying planet that was once full of life, but is now mostly desert with a few pockets of water. This music creates such specific pictures like that, and that's why I enjoy it so much. ggrimes65
The Kampala producer's debut LP subverts the dominant paradigm of club music, providing a fresh, dark, and doomy soundtrack that is as meditative as it is danceable. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 22, 2021
